Perched on a west facing hillside, the Casa Pequena is perfectly placed for watching some of Alentejo’s spectacular sunsets. With a semi open plan layout, the house is pleasantly cool in the summer yet cosily warm in winter thanks to under-floor heating & a wood burning stove.
Beneath a traditional ceiling fan, a King-size bed is made up with pure cotton bed linen, offering a touch of indulgent luxury as well as a good night’s sleep. The bathroom has a revitalising rainfall shower & generously thick towels; a solar-gas heating system ensures a plentiful supply of hot water whenever it’s needed. To make preparation of meals as easy as possible, kitchen store cupboard essentials are provided along with a small herb garden. Every 3-4 days housekeeping will change bed linen & towels, tidy & refresh the house.
Tranquil & memorable, the Casa Pequena at Sernadinha has a luxurious yet relaxed sensibility & offers a beautiful backdrop to sweep someone special off their feet.

We live in another house on the land about 250m away and are always there to help. Essentially our guests will be left alone to enjoy the house & to explore the beautiful Alentejo countryside.Neighbourhood overview
Located between Cercal & São Luis, 25 minutes from the sandy beaches of Vila Nova de Milfontes, Sernadinha de Baixo is a picturesque haven just outside the village of Aldeia do Cano.
Getting around
Casa Pequena is in a rural location & guests will need a car to be able to get out & about. The nearest town is Cercal, about 8 minutes away where there are shops, bars, restaurants, ATMs & so on. Beaches on the Costa Azul are 25 minutes away with Vila Nova de Milfontes being the closest.
